I just received a revised schedule for the SBHS comp. Our performance
time is now 1:15PM i. Our call time at the
SBHS BAND ROOM to 10:00AM. We are still on target to load on Friday at
2PM unless Dave wants to do a quick run through - then it will be 2:30PM -
of course, it is pouring raining we’ll just have to see.

November 19, 2007 — Giftwrapping fundraiser at Borders‏

Hello, everyone!
With Thanksgiving sneaking up on me, I really spaced out on the giftwrapping fundraiser during the winter holiday season at Borders in the Camino Real Marketplace.
For those of you not familiar with this endeavor, it is a fun and easy way for the entire instrumental music program to raise money, and earn community service hours at the same time. In the past, the color guard has been the only section that participated in this activity, but now it is necessary for everyone to participate.
Borders (in the same area as Costco) really enjoys having the DPHS music students helping them during this busy season, and have asked us to fill all of their available wrapping slots.
The schedule we need to fill is as follows: 
Fri. 11/23 9AM to 9PM
Sat. 11/24 9AM to 9PM
Sun 11/25 9AM to 9PM
Sat 12/1 9AM to 9PM.
Sun 12/2  9AM to 9PM
Sat 12/8 9AM to 9PM
Sun 12/9  9AM to 9PM
Sat 12/15 9AM to 9PM
Sun 12/16 9AM to 9PM
Wed 12/19  through Sun 12/23 - 9AM to 9PM
Mon 12/24  9AM to Close at 7PM
I am looking for no less than two students (and any parents that want to volunteer) in two hour blocks for each day listed.
All of the wrapping paper, tape, and scissors are provided, as well as a nice visible space to work in. The music program makes money through tips!
Last year, 18 color guard members did this schedule and earned $2,500. I am sure that with 5 times as many students working the giftwrap area, it will be easier for everyone and the potential to earn more is definitely there.
I will work up a hard copy of a schedule to hang up in the bandroom for students to sign up, but please feel free to email time slots and I will put your names on the list as well.

Tournament Check In Located on Mountain Trail DrDirections from Freeway 23

Exit Freeway at Tierra Rejada and turn West
Proceed 2.75 miles to Mountain Trail and turn right. Check in is located in the Bus Loop on your left approximately 100 yards from Tierra Rejada. You will be assigned a parking location at that time. Please do not proceed to parking lots as there is major construction occurring and parking is limited.
